Dear Friends
It is May 4 and it has been a year since Beatrice visited the Netherlands in search of her brother Ernest.
Ernest's final resting place is still a mystery, but the friendships that have grown and the support that has been given freely by so many has touched our hearts forever.
Each one of you has helped ease the burden of not knowing.
We thank you.
The picture below is of our garden, taken today on this very special day in the Netherlands.
The "Liberator" tulips have bloomed in full glory, having been planted last November.
The tulips are a symbol of the bond that forever links the Canadian Veterans and the Dutch people.
We thank them.
Sincerely,
Beatrice Messinger and Don Foster
